Sara Shannon - 12 & under Coach

Sara is a 1994 graduate of Kingwood High School, where she played volleyball, basketball, and track. While at KHS she was named 2nd team All District her Senior Year as an Outside Hitter.

After high-school, she attended Abilene Christian University for 2 years and graduated from Sam Houston State University with a bachelors in Education.

Her coaching career began at Teague Middle School in the Aldine Independent School District coaching volleyball, track, and soccer. After coaching all three sports for a number of years, she committed herself to coaching for the Houston Select Volleyball program here in Kingwood for 5 years. She currently teaches 8th grade Language Arts in the Aldine Independent School District


Laura Liptak - 13 & under Coach

Laura has coached club volleyball for 2 1⁄2 years. Previous to coaching for teamOne , she coached 13s, 14s, and 15s for Houston Select. Laura is a 2000 Kingwood High School graduate. During her high school career, she played basketball, and was a 2 year letter on the volleyball team. She was named 2 nd Team All District her Senior Year as a middle blocker.

Laura continued her education at Clemson University in South Carolina where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications Studies. Currently, Laura resides in Houston , TX. Outside of volleyball, Laura is a Senior Conference Manager for The TradeFair Group.

Lindsay Bruner- 15 & under Coach

Lindsay was a 4-year letter winner on the volleyball team at Sterling High School in Baytown, Texas. Earned recognition by being named to the All-Greater Houston and All-State volleyball teams her Senior Year. Lindsay also played varsity Soccer and Softball her freshman year. She played club volleyball with Club Texas under the direction of Debbie Sokol. She continued her volleyball career at the University of Southern Mississippi where she was named to the University Academic All-American Volleyball Team for the 2000-2001 volleyball season.

Kelly Smalley - 16 & under Coach

This is Kelly's 4th year coaching club volleyball in the Houston area. Previous to teamOne she coached with Houston Select and Houston Juniors coaching girls ages 15 and under.

Kelly was a 4 year letter winner on the volleyball team at Humble High School in Humble, TX, where she was named to the All-Star volleyball team her senior year. She played club volleyball with Houston Juniors, and Club Texas. Kelly Continued her volleyball career as an outside hitter her freshman and sophomore year at Sam Houston State University, where she played in every match and was named to the Southland Conference All Academic Team in 1999 and 2000. She transferred to Texas A&M and walked on to the volleyball team as a libero for the 2002 season. She finished her career there in 2003.

Holly Overmyer - Volleyball Lessons

This is Holly's 6th year coaching club volleyball in the Kingwood/Atascocita area. Previous to teamONE Volleyball she was with Houston Select coaching all age groups 17 year olds through 12 year olds.

Holly was a collegiate standout at The Ohio State University. As an outside hitter she received numerous honors including: two-time All American selection, three-time All Big Ten selection, three-time All Region Selection, Big Ten Player of the Year, Big Ten Championship, Big Ten All Decade Team, Ohio State Female Athlete of the Year, and was inducted into the Ohio State Hall of Fame in 1999.
